Notice Santa has changed mounts? What happened to the reindeer? Maybe they had an indigestion of birch bark and moss? Or a little nightcap too much?
Anyway Santa cannot be caught late. He's speeding along on a white hare, hopping over sleepy villages in the snowy landscape. A Christmas pattern by Barbara Ana Designs.

The story of the Christmas Tree
Evergreens have been celebrated around the winter solstice long before the advent of Christianity. By 16th century the tradition of decorating a Tannenbaum with candles for Christmas was already established in Germany.
When young Queen Victoria & her consort Albert, where pictured in their palace around a Christmas tree with their children, the tradition became instantly popular, spreading through the British isles and around the world. This wonderful design by Riverdrift House celebrates the British royals around their first Christmas tree.

Designer Samantha Purdy has this special talent of capturing, in the most simple ways, the essential joys of life, such as gathering with friends on a dark winter night and singing carols in front of a Christmas tree.
We also love the oval loop used for framing, a brilliant idea perfectly suited for this design.
