Fancy a macaron?
In spite of the mouth watering "petits fours", decadent "macarons" and runny dark chocolate ice-cream, we promise, you won't gain any calories! One of the fun part of this design is that you can customize it with your very own text. Talking about chocolate....

Guided step by step
Amanda and Ashleigh's patterns are a real treat to cross stitch because of the way colors are neatly delimitated and use of backstitch is very limited. This makes the patterns ideal for beginners, in particular the smaller sized charts.
If you are a beginner, or a somewhat experienced stitcher who would like to take the step to stitching on linen, this guide is for you and should answer any question you may have.
The Cross Stitch Guide comes free with all patterns from the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery and will be automatically added to your order.

Tips for stitching on bath towels
Bath towels make beautiful stitching projects and you can even coordinate them with toilet bags and pouches.
Here are some tips for stitching on terry towel.
Basically there are two options:
- Ready to Stitch terry towels, with a woven Aida area designed for stitching (available from DMC depending on your country, from Rico and several other brands. Charles Crafts only offers small sizes though). On the plus-side, it's easy and straightforward. You only need to make sure your pattern (in stitches) fits in the band's height and width. The only drawback is that the reverse of your stitching will show, so you need to be extra careful to do a clean job with your stitching.
- Stitching on an Aida band and sewing in on regular towels. This allows much more flexibility in your choice of quality, size and color and might be a cheaper option too. The back of your stitching won't show, so that's really nice. The stitched band is sewn onto the terry towel so you'll need a sewing machine and you should check the thickness so make sure it can be handled by the sewing machine.
Regarding thread colors, make sure you stitch with colorfast colors, such as DMC floss, which can we washed at high temperature. Avoid using bleach however when you launder the towels.
Finally, make sure that the start and end of your threads are extra secure, slipping the ends under a few more stitches than usual. It would be a great pity if the stitching came undone after a few washes.
Other than that, these are fun projects that make great gifts (especially if you personalize them with initials or names)

Beautiful and well organized
No doubt there will be plenty of room to accommodate you threads, scissors and needles so they are nice and handy when you need them. This pouch even contains a small ort-bag to keep little bits of thread out of the way.
The round "roll" shape , designed by Muriel Berceville, is quite unique, as well as the lovely phrase stitched on the flap: " Where needle goes, thread always follows".

Vintage Barbara Ana
Barbara Ana's latest pattern is, true to her inimitable style, a mix of tradition and personal whimsy. The sampler is a classic composition, in beautiful shades of floss, and based on a verse by William Shakespeare. There is just a hint of Halloween fun with the witches and cats, but this is still a piece you would enjoy all year round. The framing, with a creative combination of vintage style fabrics and felt, reinforces the character of the pattern.
