 The word "Biscornu" does not seem to have a translation in English. It's a French
 word meaning "a strange shape, with funny angles". Stitchers worldwide love this
 little object even though they might have a little difficulty pronouncing it's name!

 A "Biscornu" is in fact an 8-angle mini-cushion that's a lot of fun to make. It can be used as a pincushion, a hanging ornament, a keyring, a scissorfob and makes a very popular gift among cross stitchers!

She has an exceptional talent for capturing the true essence of flowers. Yet her patterns remain remarquably easy to stitch, with just the occasional backstitch and hardly any fractional stitches. These patterns lend themselves particularly well to cushions or a series of framed pieces. Historical patterns
Take a look at these patterns. They would lend themselves well to redecorating projects in rooms where you want to keep a neutral, not too feminine look. And they make for great stitching with lots of intricate detail. Another avantage of these patterns is that they are monochrome which means you could stitch them in any color, on any needlework fabric, and match them with the colors of your interior.
